Software Engineer (Shanghai)

Position Description:

Performs professional software engineering functions outlined below.
1. Moderately complex programming functions
2. Substantial research and analysis.
3. Prepares technical documentation
4. Performs unit and integration testing.
5. Performs maintenance and enhancement of new and/or existing software development tools, application service components or product delivery infrastructure, on QAD supported platforms, such as UNIX, Windows, and NT.
6. Performs analysis to define requirements for modifications including affected programs, expected behavior, related document changes, and test scenarios.
7. Develops and maintains APIs to 3rd party application tools and services into QAD’s development Environment.
8. Prepares program documentation of product components.
9. Establishes technical proficiency in design, implementation, system administration, and unit testing.
10. Strives to increase application knowledge.
11. Maintains QAD development standards.

Qualifications:

1. Requires equivalent of University Degree in an engineering discipline. Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
2. Good analytical and design skills.
3. Understanding of software tools, application services, databases, execution platforms and communications protocols required to build business applications.
4. Understanding of development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
5. Ability to evaluate how business issues may impact overall project plans
